This is just a first post to check out my new blog address - we are hoping for better weather this year.  Briefly, we head off to Washington on 9th August and will be back in the UK [hopefully] on 8th September.  Between those dates we will be sampling the cultural delights in DC, the cycling pain of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley, finishing off with a week of people watching in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  Those of you have followed my blogs in the past know what to expect - to the rest of you 'Good Luck'.  I won't be offended [because I won't know] whether you follow them or not, but if you do I am sure I will find something to interest or amuse you!!
